What is Maya Groomer's Tool for?

Groomer’s Tool is a complete Maya grooming package designed to speed up and enhance day-to-day curve based workflows. It covers many areas: from curve editing and manipulation (cut, trim, clump, repel, snap, draw etc), to interactive curve tools (sculpt, cut, move, etc), to geometry strand builders (cards/tubes). Many artists use it to create guides that they later convert to XGen, or export to other tools like Houdini. Because most users are long-time Maya artists, the tool leans into Maya’s native curve editing strength, so it feels natural and productive right away.

Maya Groomer’s Tool is updated as often as possible, especially when hotfixes are needed.We try to release new features, improvements, and fixes as soon as they are ready, so users do not have to wait for large bundled updates. Some features may be released in beta first, but Groomer’s Tool is an actively evolving toolkit by nature.Our goal is to let subscribers access, test, and benefit from new tools early while the toolkit continues to improve over time.
