SOLUTION:
​

• Please make sure that you have downloaded the correct Groomer's Tool version files for your Maya version.
• Maya 2020 and older uses Python 2 and Maya 2022 Python 3. When the files are compiled, they run with different Unicode registered.​ Running Python 2 in Maya 2022 will break Groomer's Tool.
