MULTI CLUMP BAKE
Picture
Bakes all clumps with one click. This tool is designed for when you have multiple clump modifiers and you do not wish to go in one by one to re-bake clump maps every time there's a guide change or and update on region maps.
  • Before running this tool, make sure you have select the correct baking 'method' for your current 'parent' clump first. Guides, or Generate.

In this example, we have a Clumping1 that uses ‘Guide’ as points. We call the first clump as the parent clump. Clumping2 uses ‘Clumping1’ maps as control maps, so Clumping 2 is the child clump. If you have a Clumping3, that uses Clumping2 as control map, Clumping3 will also be a child clump.

The tool works this way, the user will just need to tell the tool which Clumping modifier is the ‘parent’ clump by checking the box beside it. In this case, I click on the checkbox beside “Clumping1”. Then the tool will automatically detect all its ‘child’ clumping modifiers and put a ‘check’ to include them in the baking process. Now click “Bake Clump Maps”, and the tool will run the bakes on all the clumping modifiers that have a check mark on under the include column.

Traditionally, whenever a guide is moved or added, you will have to go into each clumping modifier and re-bake the maps one by one. With this tool, you can simply click on the “Bake Clump Maps” to update ALL the Clump maps.

NOTE:
  1. If you get a warning that says “Zeroing a pixel in map since all points were disqualified”, it’s advised to address this issue first. Usually this happens when you have a  child clump with the points not high enough so XGen could not 'determine' a color for it. Please try increasing your 'density' in your clumps. Normally, the density points of a child clump should be 3~4 times of its parent clump.
